ከሉሳካ (ዛምቢያ) ወደ ደቡብ አፍሪካ፣ ለጥቁር ደቡብ አፍሪካ ሕዝብ ይተላለፍ የነበረውን የኤ.ኤን.ሲ. ራዲዮ ጣቢያ፣ ዘረኛው የደቡብ አፍሪካ መንግሥት ጃም ያደርገው ነበር። ጥቁር ደቡብ አፍሪካዊ ሆኖ በደቡብ አፍሪካ መወለድ፣ በገዥዎቹ ነጮች ዓይን ወንጀል ስለነበር፤ ዘረኛው የነጮች መንግሥት፣ አውሬ መሳይ ገዳይ ብረት ለበስ ተሽከርካሪዎችን በጥቁር ደቡብ አፍሪካዊያን አንጀት ላይ ነድቷል። ሸቀጥ የመግዛት መብታቸው በመስኮት ብቻ የነበረው ጥቁር ደቡብ አፍሪካውያን፣ በድንገት ወይም ሆን ብለው ሱቅ ውስጥ በበር ከገቡ፤ ‘ሱቁን አረከሱት’ ተብለው ይገደሉ ነበር። በገዛ ሀገራቸው፣ የመታወቂያ ካርድ በኪሳቸው ይዘው ሲገኙ ብቻ ነበር ነጮች የሚኖሩበትን ከተማ ለመጎብኘት የሚችሉ ሕጋዊ ሰዎች መሆናቸው የሚረጋገጥላቸው። ነጮቹን የማይመለከተውን የመታወቂያ ሕግ ያላሟላ ጥቁር ደቡብ አፍሪካዊ፣ በደቂቃዎች ወደ እስር ቤት እንደሚጋዝ ምንም ጭቅጭቅ የለም። የመታወቂያው ሕግ፣ ጥቁር ደቡብ አፍሪካዊያንን ከነጮች ከተማ ገፍትሮ ማውጣት በመቻሉ በትናንሽና ችምችም ባሉ መንደሮች እንዲኖሩ ተገደዋል።

The Plight of Andualem Aragie and Other Political Prisoners in Ethiopia

The “Gulag” jail complement in a aged Soviet Union was barbarous for warehousing and persecuting dissidents and opponetns. The gulags were used effectively to weed out and vacate antithesis to a Soviet state. They were a quintessential collection of Soviet state terrorism. Some called them “meat-grinders” since of a intensely oppressive and inhumane conditions. Torture, earthy abuse by jail guards, unique confinement, unsound food rations and strictly instigated inmate-on-inmate attack were a hallmarks of a gulags.
