US files charges opposite American who purported torture

The U.S. government has issued an arrest warrant for an American citizen who is seeking asylum in Sweden after he went public with allegations of illegal detention and torture while in the United Arab Emirates – which he believes was carried out at the behest of the FBI.
In newly filed documents, the U.S. government charges that Yonas Fikre, 33, an Ethiopia-born resident of Portland, Ore., was involved in money transfers set up to avoid U.S. reporting requirements. He is accused of conspiring with two other defendants — his brother Dawit Woldehawariat of San Diego and Abrehaile Haile of Seattle. Read the rest of this entry

ADDIS ABABA — Security was tightened in the Capital Addis Ababa. Defying government threats, Ethiopian Muslim have vowed to continue their protests against the “Ahbashism Campaign” instigated by the government and “Majlis”.
“Call me a terrorist but I will defend my religion,” a muezzin in a mosque at the outskirts of Addis Ababa said in his sermon, denouncing the Al Ahbash movement, Reuters reported. Read the rest of this entry

ስለዚህ ይህንን እንደ ክፍል ሁለት መቁጠርም ይቻላል።
ጋሽ ግዛው በድፍን ሽሮሜዳ ታዋቂ የነበሩ ሞቅታን እንደገንዘብ እየቆጠቡ የሚጠቀሙ ሰው ነበሩ። እርሳቸውን ሳይሰክሩ ያያቸው ሰው ካለ እርሱ አብሯቸው ያደረ መሆን አለበት፤ በቀረ ግን ሁሌም ሞቅታ ውስጥ ናቸው።
ጋሽ ግዝሽ ሁልግዜም ወደቤታቸው የሚገቡት እምቢኝ እያሉም ቢሆን፤ በሰዎች ተደጋግፈው ነው። አንዳንዴም በወሳንሳ! አለበለዛ ሲወድቁ ሲነሱ የሚያዩት አበሳ አይወሳ…! ጋሽ ግዛው በሞቅታቸው ተዓምር ካመጡት ልዩ ልዩ ጠባይ ውስጥ የሚከተሉት ይጠቀሳሉ። ከመንግስታችን ተዓምራዊ በሀሪያት ጋር እየተነፃፀረ ይቀርባል። Read the rest of this entry
