Ethiopian Minister Junedin seeks Asylum in Kenya
Junedin was one of the “most powerful” ruling Party officials who represented the regime in various international and local duties. He was also one of the few Ministers that represented the ruling Party in the Ethiopian General election debates. A close confident and loyal of the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, Junedin was one of the ardent critics of Ethiopian opposition and Muslim critics/protesters, sources who knows the Minister closely at the Oromia regional Council recount.
The paper also stated that it was not established how Junedin left for Kenya, so far. Some sources close to De Birhan had informed us that Junedin had absconded to Kenya with eight senior members of OPDO and colleagues. There are no details on the whereabouts of his three underage children.
